Fun Shoe Website

This is a picture of one of the fun new shoes I ordered online. The girls at work, especially Brandi, always tell me about the latest shopping websites they have discovered. This one has tons of cute shoes. However, beware that they carry clothes and other things, and they are the most trashy clothes I've ever seen for sale! Don't bother looking at anything else but the shoes and have fun. The web address is www.amiclubwear.com. If you are wondering, no, these shoes are not comfortable, but they are really, really fun to wear. Happy shopping. Also, if you were wondering if those were my legs in the picture, no they are not. My legs never look that great!

Nine Years of Pure Bliss

Well, I wouldn't say that, but it certainly has been a ride! We celebrated our nine year anniversary yesterday be going out to Chili's --- with Bowen. What can I say, we are romantic. Maybe for ten years we'll do something big. However, my sweet husband (well, mostly sweet) surprised me with the gorgeous ring that I was eyeballing at his dad's store. Okay, I know I'm bragging a big, but I just love the ring! Thank you honey, and thank you for nine years of pure bliss, ha, ha!

Confessions of a Lazy House Keeper

So, I'm am slightly embarrassed to admit that I have the irobot scumba (robot that mops your hard floors). Mopping the floors is my most dreaded task, so I either needed a house keeper to do it or a robot. Well, I have a robot that does it. Bowen, of course, loves it because it is a robot. I was having it clean the kitchen one day and I heard Bowen saying, "Wheee, mommy, I'm riding it!" I came running in and he was literally riding the robot around the room. I quickly got him off of it and explained that the robot was expensive and not meant to be a ride for him. However, I let his trains go for a ride on the robot. So, he loves to play and follow the "Mr. Robot" around when he's cleaning.

Tribute to Socks

Last week was a hard week for several reasons, one of them was that I had to make the decision to have our kitty, Socks, put to sleep. She was having problems with going to the bathroom on the carpet (yuck) and acting a little crazy in general. The girl at the vet's office even suggested cat prozac . . . of course Justin pointed out that only I would have a cat that needed prozac! Justin took a day off work so I wouldn't have to take her to the vet, too traumatic for me. It was an emotional day, and I am convinced it may not be worth the emotional trauma to have pets. She was a good kitty and we will miss her. On the brighter side, Mini, our other cat, has come out of her shell. She seems like a different cat and is a lot happier, which is kind of sad. I am dealing with it and don't plan on getting another pet anytime soon. I told Bowen that she went to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus, and he asked if she was at church and when she was going to come home. I guess that's death to a three-year old.

Scriptures???

It all began a couple of months ago when we were visiting my mom. Bowen came running in the room and told me with much excitement that he had found some scriptures. He loves Thomas the Tank Engine, and when you buy a new train, it comes with a little fold-out pamphlet of other Thomas trains you can collect. For some reason, he thinks they are called scriptures. He has several sets of "scriptures" in his Thomas tupperware, and he reads them often!

I did it!

Okay . . . so I've officially started a blog. This is something I've thought about doing for some time, but have never gotten around to it. I also struggled with the concept, because many bloggers appear to be "braggers" . . . no offense to other bloggers. I don't want to show everyone how perfect my family and I are, because we are far from it. Instead, I am hoping to share things with my family and friends about lifes struggles and the things that keep us going.
