Alright, Who Wants to Party?

So, as you may or may not know, I am a new Modbe Fashion Consultant. They sell clothing that is very cute and in fashion while still being modest. You can only buy their clothes online or through an in-home boutique/open house. I haven't done a boutique yet, and I need someone to be my guinea pig. I don't want to host my own open house as I just had a shoe party. So, who is not afraid to step up to the plate and host a Modbe boutique? You earn free and discounted clothes---what is there not to like about that. Also, if you book a boutique in October, November or December, you will be entered to win a $250.00 shopping spree. They just came out with their latest True Rise Jeans for the fall. They are super cute -- they come up higher in the front to keep the "mama belly" at bay and don't come down too low in the back --- all while giving the appearance of low rise. Let me know if anyone is interested.

The School Boy aka The Worry Wort

I'm excited to report that the master of the universe aka Bowen (I often refer to him as the master as he runs the show around here) has started Preschool. It has been heaven sent for both him and me. He has a lot of anxiety and worry over things, so I was a bit worried about how he would handle the school thing. (I have no idea why he worries about everything, it's not like I'm a worry wort -- ha, ha.). He is so excited about going to school and doing all his homework and "projects." His new scissors are a prized possession. It's very cute to see him so excited about learning.

Holy cow, do we look professional or what?

My Cute Students

This last week has been a bit of a blur, because I have been so busy. My students' piano recital was last Saturday, which took quite a bit of my time in preparation. However, it was a success. They all did really great under all the pressure. My sister Katie and I played a song together, which was a lot of fun. Isn't this a cute little clan.

What's Your Emergency?

Bowen successfully completed two phone calls to 911 yesterday. The first time we heard a woman talking in the other room and Bowen was talking back. We went out and Justin's cell was on speaker phone, Justin grabbed the phone and the woman told him it was 911. He did it again later on in the day. Justin's cell phone keypad was locked, so being the genius that he is, he figured out some method of dialing 911 while the keypad is locked. The emergency system is not too happy with us!

A New Hobby

Bowen and I have been developing a new hobby---painting. I wanted to learn how to paint with oils, and this is my first finished product. I know I'm bragging a bit (oops!), but I did want to show off what my efforts have produced. This will go in Bowen's room; he is very excited. I let Bowen paint with some little acrylics, and Justin kind of freaked out (you know, makes a big, not so good mess). Probably not the best idea, but he had so much fun painting just like mom.

Confident Nudity

Bowen is very comfortable and confident in his birthday suit. The other day Justin gave him a bath while I was doing some work on the computer. After his bath, Bowen came into the office all wrapped up in his towel. He came over by me and exclaimed, "Well, here I am!" After his confident exclaimation he dropped his towel and stood there smiling with a chest puffed out and hands on his waist. Where does he come up with this stuff?!?!?!
